Arch Manning to Texas – What Now for UGA? (Plus a Little Butthurt)
Well, there it is. Four days after taking his official visit to Austin, Arch Manning committed to the Texas. This should come as no surprise, as the Longhorns have always been a very serious player in his recruitment. The Manning family didn’t let much get out at all about where Arch stood in his recruitment, leaving recruiting analysts to trust what they were hearing from the respective schools that they cover.
Of course, UGA felt very good about their chances after Manning’s official visit two weekends ago. Texas also did after this weekend and they won out. The pull to play for Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian was just too much for the Dawgs to overcome. Arch loves him. I also believe the opportunity to be the guy that brings Texas back to college football relevence played a part here.
