His head coach Corey Thompson spoke with On3 – “He’s very versatile. He’s not just the biggest kid out there who’s going to bullrush you every time. He’s also very coachable. We’ve had games where if we put him on one side, the other team is going to run away from him. I told him at the beginning of the year, when we started seeing that, that his impact on the field is going to be bigger than what his stats have been in the past,” Thompson said. “Him working with our defensive coordinator and finding places we can put him other than just on the edge. We just want to be able to move him around and be that versatile player, knowing that when he goes to college he might have to drop back in coverage every now and then. It’s about developing his game as a whole. One of his strengths he has is his strength. He’s one of the strongest guys on the team, and he knows how to use it on the field.”
