UGA Recruiting: Did Dawgs Make Up Enough Ground for Elite Defensive Lineman?

“Yes, it is (true),” Kanu told On3. “I think my mom really loved it. She said she could see me being there. They have great programs. They are building new facilities, with a new restaurant in the facility. They’re going to have cooking lessons, and I think that’s a really fun idea. It’s a good way to get out of football because everyone needs a break at some point. I’m a cook, too. I love to cook, and nutrition was what I focused on in Germany. It was a great experience. I can’t brag more about it.”

“Of course, being the number one team in the nation and having big Jordan Davis, I think he’s the face of this defense. Nakobe Dean is also a big impact maker. I had an endzone view, so you really got to see how the defensive players move laterally. That’s my biggest strength as well. It was probably the most fun game I’ve gotten to watch. It was a noon game, and there was so much energy in the stadium. It’s indescribable. It was like a night game,” Kanu said. “My mom, my coach, and my host mom all had a lot of fun. The overall visit was the best one. It was an amazing experience, and Coach Tray Scott spent a lot of time with me. I liked how he focused on the players that were visiting, even though he had to coach a game. The same with Coach [Kirby] Smart. The next day we went out to eat. It was a great experience.”
