UGA Recruiting: In-State Edge Waiting for an Offer, Talks Georgia Visit

“I think we’re inching closer to an offer. I was a lot smaller when I was in-season (last year),” Holly told 247Sports. “My coach Marcus Howard told me if I want to make it to the next level that I need to make a decision about playing basketball because it’s counterproductive to what I’m trying to accomplish with football. So after talking about it with my parents we decided to stop playing basketball so I can hold my weight. My mom put me on a high-protein 4,000 calorie meal program so that combined with a strict workout program I was able to gain a good 25 pounds of muscle. This spring practice was the first time the (Georgia) coaching staff saw me so Coach Diribe was surprised by how much bigger I got. I went from 215 to when I weighed on Saturday at 239. My goal is to get to a solid 245/250 by the time my season starts. (Georgia coaches) said, ‘If knew you like that, I would be prepared to offer you.’ So next steps are coach Diribe will come to my spring practice and possibly set up a workout together with my coach Howard and we’ll see.”
