Another Transfer Watch

We posted early yesterday morning that there could be movement soon on Derion Kendrick and now more people are posting the same.

Now we’re posting early this morning that there could be movement soon on Arik Gilbert and UGA.

For a long time it looked like it would be a minor miracle for Gilbert to qualify. Well, something happened. I do know he has been taking extra classes, but it even looked like that wouldn’t get him qualified to play D1 football this fall.

Now it looks very much like he will qualify. And if what I’ve been told is right, he plans to play his football in Athens GA in the red and black this fall.

The last meeting came in Athens  in 2019 when Georgia claimed a series two games to one. LSU leads the all-time series 68-23-2 including 9-2 in the SEC Tournament. They last squared off in Hoover in 2009 as LSU won a pair of seven-inning affairs. The 2020 SEC Tournament was canceled due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
