ATHENS, Ga. – Week two of NFL action is complete, and several former Bulldogs had exceptional performances for their respective teams.
For example, Baltimore Ravens linebacker Roquan Smith continues to be a dominant force in his eighth NFL season, as he racked up 15 tackles, three tackles for loss and a 63-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown in a win. It marked his second career touchdown and his first via a fumble return. Currently, Smith is ranked second in the league for total tackles (26) and solo tackles (16).
Meanwhile, running back James Cook posted another productive game in helping the Buffalo Bills to a 2-0 start to the season. Cook’s two touchdowns this past Sunday marked the sixth consecutive game that he has scored a touchdown dating to last season. Cook is the first Bills running back to accomplish this feat since 1988. Currently, Cook ranks fourth in the NFL in rushing yards (176) and is tied for first in rushing touchdowns (three).
