UGA Football: Defensive Line Signee is Already in Athens With the Team
ATHENS, Ga. βΒ The Georgia Bulldogs and North Carolina Tar Heels have agreed to play a home-and-home series over the next three basketball seasons in 2026 and 2028.
Georgia will travel to Chapel Hill to face North Carolina on Friday, Nov. 13 next season. The Tar Heels will return the game in Athens on a date to be determined during November or December of 2028.
UGA and UNC have met 18 times, but the upcoming contests will be the first this century. The Tar Heels own a 13-5 edge in all-time meetings; however, Georgia won the most significant matchup, 82-77, in the final of the 1983 East Regional of the NCAA Tournament. The Bulldogs also bested UNC, 26-24, in the championship game of the 1932 Southern Conference Tournament. Georgia defeated Mississippi State, Virginia, Duke and North Carolina in successive days to claim that title.

Buffalo Bills running back James Cook III, continues to inch closer to the NFL rushing crown as the season draws to a close. Cook rushed 22 times for 107 yards and two touchdowns while adding a touchdown reception to complete his hat trick of touchdowns on Sunday. With 107 yards on Sunday, Cook became just the third running back in Bills franchise history to have eight games with at least 100 rushing yards in a season. In addition to Bills history, Cook added to NFL history as he became just the third player in league history to have 100 or more rushing yards, two or more rushing touchdowns, 1 or more receiving touchdowns, and help his team to overcome a 21-point deficit in the same game.
Meanwhile, Houston Texans cornerback Kamari Lassiter continues to supplement one of the NFL’s best defenses. Lassiter turned in another impactful performance on Sunday as he collected five tackles, two passes defended and an interception. With his interception on Sunday, Lassiter has set a new career high in interceptions with four. Currently, Lassiter ranks in the top-10 in both interceptions (T-6th) and passes defended (T-7th).
