UGA Recruiting: Georgia Has a Good Relationship With Top 5* Target
“It’s been real good (building the relationship with Georgia), and I’m real cool with Coach [Bryan] McClendon. We talk all the time. I already have a good relationship with him, so it’s always good with him,” Matthews told DawgsHQ.
“Coach McClendon is from Georgia, too. He knows what it’s like to be in it. We always connect about other schools, but he always keeps it real with me and tells me how it was when he was going through recruiting. Coaches, you know, will tell you what you want to hear, but he keeps it honest and tells me how it is and isn’t. He just keeps it real,” Matthews said. “He loves me as a player and everything I do, but we talk about outside of football.”
