McFarland told 247sports – “Really, it’s what they did with Zachariah Branch and how they utilize them. Then, when I watch the film, you can tell that they actually have a good playbook. They run real routes, and they get you ready with a pro-style offense. That’s really what I liked about them. When I went up there, they really didn’t even say anything about Branch, other than bringing up that I know him. When I talked to them in meetings, they just felt like they were going to use me in my own way. They said, ‘You’re Eric McFarland. You might be similar in some ways, but we You know, you, Eric McFarland, I mean, y’all might be similar in certain ways, but we feel like you’ve got more. I really love that about them.”
